Cinnamon Crumble Apple pie

Step 1 : Filling
Granny Smith apple

I used two types of apple.

 Peeled, cored, and chopped

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon clove
½ teaspoon salt

1 cup sugar (brown or white)

Mix all filling ingredients

1/3 cup of water

use medium heat

1/4 cup of corn flour

Mix the corn flour with a little bit water

Add a little bit of corn flour until it thickens slightly

not too thick and not overcook
After cooked, let it cool. For best result, cook 1 day earlier and store it in the fridge.

Step 2 : Crumble

1 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour

1/2 cup of oats

3 pieces of cream cracker biscuits

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar

250 gm unsalted butter, has to be very cold. Cut into 1/2 inch cubes

Blend oats and cream cracker biscuits. Not too fine.

Add flour, sugar and salt and blend together.

Take out the mixture and put it in a mixing bowl.

Add the cold butter.

Mix it gently with your fingertips until it becomes breadcrumbs.

Spread some butter on a baking pan of your choice.

Fill the bottom layer with the breadcrumbs.

Fill it so it looks like the picture above.

Add apple pie filling on top of it.

Cover the filling with more breadcrumbs.

Bake for 1 hour until crust is brown and juices are bubbling

This is the apple pie. Yummy!

It is very simple to make. If you like it, feel free to leave some comments below.
